Do the same PDT rules that apply to stocks apply to forex? Or can I make an unlimited amount of trades?

There's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to successful forex day trading. Plus, it's not always easy to predict the market, but a successful forex day trading strategy may involve up to around five trades throughout your working hours.
Each of these short-term investments can last from minutes or even hours, depending on how volatile an industry you're interested in investing into at any given time!

There's no upper limit on how many forex trades you can make in a day - the number is literally unlimited. However, you should pay attention to a couple of factors, like details about the spreads and the fees your broker might charge on each transaction. If there's a fixed fee involved with every new position you open on the market, then it's probably better to stick to a smaller number of trades.
So, answering it bluntly, there's no limit on "how many trades can you make a day" in the forex market. The best forex day traders, however, stick to 2-5 trades per day on average.
