Interactive Brokers vs. Questrade
Asked 4 years ago
So do you think it's better to have an interactive broker? Which broker is better and why?

Questrade has better exchange rates, but Interactive Brokers gives more bang for the buck on their offers.
Some of the best offers from IB are cheaper trading commissions in return for holding your securities.
The commission is as low as $0.01 per share with a minimum of 100 shares held and a good buying power.
If you're trading individual stocks or ETFs, Questrade's $4/trade offer is cheaper than IB's $8/trade offer regardless of how many shares you buy at once, which can save people money.
It's worth looking into both brokers and comparing them before selecting one because they have different strengths that appeal to different types of traders.

Both Interactive Brokers vs. Questrade are good, but the latter would be more preferable for me. Even though Interactive Brokers have been in the business for a longer period, Questrade has more financial instruments. Also, Questrade' s minimum deposit is far less than Interactive Brokers. Also for traders, the exchange rate of Questrade is much better than Interactive Brokers.
