Do I have to be a US citizen to trade US stocks on AvaTrade or is there a way that I can trade them from outside the United States?

It is not possible to trade on AVATrade as a non-US citizen.
Aside from the fact that AvaTrade does not accept traders from foreign countries, there are specific securities wherein U.S. citizens cannot participate in trades or those required of investments be made only in U.S. banks and brokers.
They include securities of other SEC-regulated entities such as ADRs, OTC products and penny stocks.
