Which broker is best for backtesting trading strategies?

Hi, I'm a forex trader who uses MT5. While I have played around with different strategies (at a cost, of course), I've recently found out about something called a 'backtesting.' By the sound of it, backtesting would enable me to develop a trading strategy and test it before implementing it. Is this correct? Which software or platforms do you recommend using for backtesting strategies? Oh, and while we're on strategies, what is your best forex trading strategy and why?

Backtesting can help you determine if a trading strategy is worth your time and shows profitability signs before you start using it. You can manually backtest a strategy or use a software. Trading view, Metastock, TrendSpider, Interactive Brokers have the best backtesting software.
On the best trading strategy, I prefer scalping because I don't like the emotional part of holding trades for too long.
