E-Trade vs. Robinhood: Which broker do you recommend?
Asked 4 years ago
I would like to hear your opinions on E-Trade. E-trade a good alternative to Robinhood? How do the two compare?

For every young investor, Robinhood seems to be the place to go.
But is it superior to something like ETrade that has been around for more than 30 years?
Robinhood maintains zero fees, but ETrade provides users more order types and features.
For example, this is what ETrade has that Robinhood does not:
- Bonds
- Futures / Commodities
- Future Options
- Robo Advisory
- No-Load, No-Fee Mutual Funds
- Short Sales
Also, ETrade has all commission-free exchange-traded funds (ETFs), while Robinhood only has 500 to choose from.
Because Robinhood is growing exponentially, this might change in the future. If you are looking for bare-bones trading, Robinhood is ideal. If you are more of a serious investor with some experience under your belt, ETrade is a better option.
