Is social media a good place for trading signals?
Asked 4 years ago
Does someone here use Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or Tiktok? What has your experience been so far and which do you recommend?

Yes, social media can be a great venue as a social signals provider, particularly Twitter. Or, as the young kids call it these days, FinTwit.
You just need to cut through a lot of the noise and investors trying to pump up a stock du jour.
Tiktok is NOT a great place to find investment advice or trading signals.
A lot of the people who offer advice about stocks, cryptocurrencies, and foreign exchange on Tiktok present themselves as finance gurus, despite being only 20 years old.
I have never seen investment tips on LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram.
You should also check out the /r/investing and /r/stocks pages on Reddit. Just steer clear of Wall Street Bets!
