What are the pros and cons that I must consider when choosing which investment company or financial institute to open my IRA?

When choosing an investment company or other means of financial institute to open an IRA, you need to factor in the variables.  Does the company charge fees for things like maintenance and interest? Are there investment limits? Do they have  a good star rating? 
Take these things into account when choosing the right provider. There are several reputable companies I would recommend such as Betterment, Vanguard and Schwab.
