Can you backtest stock strategies?

Morning everyone. Is it possible to use Tradingview to build portfolios, analyze, and backtest stock strategies before implementing or buying the targeted stocks? Thanks.

Yes, you can backtest almost anything, including stocks, futures, forex etc. You can manually backtest a strategy or use backtesting software to help determine if a particular strategy is worth your time or money. Trading View is one of the most common backtesting software. Others include Trade Ideas, Metastock, TrendSpider, Interactive Brokers, Tradestation, Quantshare etc.
