Why is there a loss whenever I open new a trade?
Asked 5 years ago
I can't understand this because it's not like I always make a loss on every sale, but it always shows a loss as soon as I open a new trade.

There are several possible reasons for this.
You may have a brokerage account that charges you per market order, so it is added to the average share price.
The Bid / Ask spread starts your position in the red.
You may have acquired the stock at the exact same time others bought shares. When the demand has peaked, the price will go down since the momentum has faded.
The volumes are immense so your stock may be a volatile during the session you bought shares.
