Is it best to buy, sell, or hold Tesla?
Asked 4 years ago
I am currently sitting with Tesla stock and trying to figure out my next move. Therefore, I'm looking for opinions from experienced traders. How do I determine if I should buy more, sell it (...and profit?), or hold on to it for longer?

In general, I don’t suggest that any single stock position be more than 20% of your total portfolio. As a result, if Tesla stock account for more than 20% of your total portfolio, I recommend cutting that percentage down just a bit. However, if Tesla stock makes up less than 20% of your portfolio, I recommend waiting it out a little more. Given how fast the share price has grown in the last year, the stock could easily jump in the following months. For now, I'd say that it's best to hold or even buy if you have extra cash, but definitely don't sell.
