Is the Sproutly stock (SPR) worth holding?
Asked 4 years ago
I've been looking at some penny stocks, and Sproutly Canada appears pretty promising as a company. However, having that in mind, I've noticed that the share price has been nearly the same for the last 1-2 years, and they don't pay any dividends. Should I buy and hold long-term?

If this financial market can tell you anything, it is that any stock can soar out of the blue, whether it is because of the meme community or world-altering factors.
That said, Sproutly is involved in the cannabis industry. Despite bullish expectations that this sector would be going to the moon by now, it has fallen short of estimations.
At the same time, markets are cyclical, so marijuana could go through another boom phase. Who knows when?
Since this is a penny stock worth fewer than six cents, you might as well hang onto it and keep it in your back pocket. Just set it and forget it. If it gets pumped up (see: TGOD!), you can take the profit.
